Why read our policy?

You are browsing our website, registering for one of our training or subscribing to our newsletter? By interacting with us online, you give us permission to collect certain information about you. (Not too much, we promise!)

  • We use web analytics tools to learn how to improve the quality of our website and to measure the success of our promotional campaigns. For this, we use Squarespace (which hosts our website), and Google Analytics.

    Here is what we collect:

    • Your IP address and the pages that you visit

    • The type of device and browser that you use

    We can see the IP addresses of visitors to our website. However, other information is collected (aggregated) with that of other users. This information is only accessible to us in an anonymous form.

    Our partners have their own privacy policies and practices.

  • Our newsletter is hosted by the company MailChimp which collects :

    • Your first and last name

    • Your email address

    • The city you are located in when you sign up.

    • Your IP address and operating system (e.g. Windows, Linux).

    • Your interactions with our newsletters. For example, if you open them, and if you click on the links inside.

    We need this information to :

    • Send you our newsletter, which includes content related to our expertise and promotional offers

    • Know what interests our subscribers

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns

    We may access this information, which is stored by MailChimp. We never share it with other people or companies.

    You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking on "unsubscribe" at the bottom of our newsletter. You may also request that we delete your profile at any time by emailing us at confidentialite@enclair.ca.

  • Registrations are managed through our Training Center which is hosted on the Didacte platform. To create your profile and register, you must provide this information :

    Your first and last name, your email address, your country and province of residence.

    This information is collected to:

    • Create your user account and profile

    • Identify you when you connect to the Training center

    • Send you information about your trainings (e.g. reminders)

    • Subscribe you to our newsletter

    We have access to this information. Didacte sends your email address, name and surname to Zapier, which in turn sends them to MailChimp (see When you subscribe to our newsletter).

    Name and address of your organization

    This information is collected to:

    • Produce a service offer

    • Produce an invoice

    • Adapt the content of the training to your work reality 😊

    We have access to this information.

    Billing address, credit card information

    This information is collected to process your payment.

    We have access to this information (we only see the last 4 digits of your credit card number). Didacte sends this information to Stripe, a payment processing platform.

  • Like any social media user, we can see who is subscribed to our En Clair pages, and how users interact with our posts.

    In particular, we have access to the names and profiles of subscribers, to "likes", comments, and shares, and to the number of views of a publication (on Twitter and Linkedin).

    If you visit our website from one of our social media publications, you should know that we use certain trackers to :

    • Know which publications work best.

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

    Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, have their own Privacy policies. We encourage you to check them out, although they are very long!

  • Your information allows us to know your question or your need, and to contact you back to answer it.

    Are you writing to us via the contact form on our website or through Microsoft Bookings? We collect your name, email address and phone number if you choose to indicate it.

    You prefer to send us an email? We collect your email address and the information you provide.

 

 
  • From time to time, we recruit people to participate in tests, surveys or interviews as a part of our simplification projects. If you apply to participate, we will collect:

    What information is collected?

    • Your name, email address and any other contact information that you agree to provide so we can contact you back,

    • Any other information that will help us determine if you are a good fit for the test.

    Any partner or collaborator with whom we do business to perform the tests has access to this information.

 

 
  • Applying to En Clair usually involves providing a resume and cover letter, which may include your name, address, phone number, email address and other personal information.

    We need this information to:

    • identify you

    • verify that your profile corresponds to the profile we are looking for

    • verify your criminal record

    • communicate with you during the recruitment process

    • hire you

    We will not disclose your personal information to anyone.

 

 

How we store your personal information

Your personal information is stored in Canada, or in the United States when collected by service providers located in the United States (e.g. Google, Mailchimp).

 
 

How long we keep it

We retain your information to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, no longer. We then use reasonable means to destroy your personal information.

However, the law imposes retention periods for certain types of information, including tax information. For example :

Payment and billing information (e.g. billing address, name)
7 years, in accordance with tax laws.

Information used to send our newsletter (name, first name, email address)
As long as you wish to receive our newsletter, and at the latest 2 years after you unsubscribe.

Information related to training, webinars and conferences
3 years after the training, webinar, conference or our last interaction with you.

Once the purposes for which we collected the personal information have been fulfilled, we will use reasonable means to destroy it.

We take the following measures to keep your personal information secure

  • Our electronic devices are protected by passwords and our internet network by a firewall.

  • We sign confidentiality agreements with our collaborators and subcontractors.

  • We have developed an Information Security Policy to which all our employees must adhere.

  • We choose reputable and trustworthy service providers.

Our employees have access to your information only for one of the purposes described in this policy

We do not use it for any other purpose.  We also do not sell your information. 

 
 

Your rights and choices

  • You can ask to see the personal information we have about you by writing to us at confidentialite@enclair.ca.

  • You can also ask us to correct the information we have about you if it is inaccurate or out of date.

  • You may withdraw your consent for us to use your personal information by writing to us at confidentialite@enclair.ca.

  • You can disable non-mandatory cookies when you browse our website (See When you browse our website).
